Police Log: A Trapped Bat and an Erratic Driver

Tuesday, April 23

1:21 p.m.- TheΒ Bedford Police DepartmentΒ received a call reporting a resident had trapped a bat in the house at 39 Hancock Street. The responding officer reported the bat was set free with no human contact.Β

3:14 p.m.- Police received a call reporting a car was parked in a way that would prevent her from backing out from her spot atΒ Cafe Luigi. The responding officer issued the vehicle a citation.Β 

3:51 p.m.- A caller reported a small white dog running loose in the area of Old Billerica Road at Page Road. The animal control officer responded but reported he could not locate the dog.Β

9:50 p.m.- Police received a call reporting an erratic driver in a white car swerving across their lane near 199 Great Road. The responding officer reported the vehicle was gone upon arrival.Β
