Police: Missing Boyfriends and After School Activities

The following information was provided by the Bedford Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

 

Friday, Oct. 19

3:14 a.m.- Police received a call reporting several dead animals creating a hazard on North Road at the Billerica town line. Officers responded and reported the animals were off to the side of the road.

11:20 a.m.- Police received a call from an employee of the Flatbread Co. reporting a possible domestic incident occurring in a green Toyota parked next to a dumpster in the parking lot. Officers responded and spoke with the mother and her two sons. 

2:13 p.m.- A resident of Page Road requested an officer check the well-being of his wife as he was not home. Officers were dispatched, but the individual called back and reported his wife was out with a friend.

5:01 p.m.- Police received a call reporting a person taking property from the front of 328 Concord Road and putting it into their truck.  The caller was unsure if the individual was stealing the property or if it belonged to him. Officers responded and spoke with the home owner, who reported he was giving the property away.

6:06 p.m.- A woman came into the Bedford Police Department to hand in a set of keys that was recovered from the Bedford Free Public Library.

8:23 p.m.- Police received a call from a woman reporting her boyfriend had left their home an hour and a half earlier to run errands and had still not returned. An officer was dispatched, and while they were talking to the reporting person, her boyfriend called and said he was at Stop and Shop. Police received another call later from the same person reporting her boyfriend had still not returned home. An officer was dispatched to Stop and Shop and spoke to the man, who reported he was shopping and would return home when he was done.

9:34 p.m.- Police received a call reporting a disturbance in front of the bottle deposit at Stop and Shop. Officers responded and spoke with the two individuals involved in the disturbance, letting them know the proper etiquette for a public place.

9:43 p.m.- An employee of Bamboo called police to report another employee had hit him. Officers responded. 

11:26 p.m.- Police received a call from an alarm company reporting the alarm at Bedford High School had gone off. The alarm company reported the alarm had been set off by motion on the first floor of the building. Officers were dispatched and observed a group of youths run from the building on foot and flee the area in a dark SUV. The vehicle was located along with the parties involved on Woodland Road.
