See a Pot Hole in Bedford, Report it Online
The town is testing a new online program to report potholes and other problems.

If you see a pothole, trash along the road or other problems around Bedford you can now report it on your computer with a new online program.
The Town of Bedford’s new website, which debuted about a week ago, includes a new feature called SeeClickFix. Click here to go to the page and hit the “Report” tag, enter the address, what the title is and a description of the problem. Then hit submit.
A pin goes into a map of town showing the location of the reports.

Right now, the system is for just a few issues, but it will likely grow in the future, said Bedford Town Manager Richard Reed.
“In our case, I think we are planning to start out modestly with things like pot hole reporting, and evolve over time as we get experience with it, get comfort with the software and how it works,” Reed said.

The program is based on one developed by the City of Boston, and now has been put into use by communities across Massachusetts, Reed said.
“They invited communities to apply be part of the program,” Reed said. “There were two or three rounds of development and we were in the last one.”
Residents can still communicate in old methods, but SeeClickFix gives them another option.
“It is a nice service, a nice way for the public to interact with us,” Reed said. “They can call us, send emails to us today. This is just another method of people reporting to us needs around the community that we want to address.”
