This Week in Bedford: Observing a Moment of Silence for the Victims of the Marathon Bombings

On Monday, a week to the minute from the detonation of the first bomb at the finish line of the 2013 Boston Marathon, bells rang out across Bedford in observance of the victims of the attacks on the marthon. Bedford Patch captured the bells at First Parish Unitarian Universalist ringing following a moment of silence observed at 2:50 p.m. How did you observe the moment of silence in honor of the victims of the Boston Marathon bombings? Bucking the trend for the Commonwealth but remaining more or less consistent with steady sales in Middlesex County, single-family home sales in Bedford increased from 9 in March 2012 to 11 in March 2013, a 22 percent rise.Β So far this year, Bedford has seen 20 homes sold – compared to 17 in 2012, according to The Warren Group, which publishes Banker & Tradesman.
