Town Offices that will appear on the Ballot at the March 12, 2022 Annual Town Election are as follows:

Candidates for local office shall be nominated by either filing intentions and circulating nomination papers available from the Town Clerk or by participation and nomination at the Annual Town Caucus.

Nomination by Collecting Signatures

• Forms and Nomination Papers become available on Monday, December 6, 2021 at the Town Clerk’s Office
• The deadline for filing an intention to run for office with the Town Clerk is Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at 5:00 p.m., and then potential candidates will be given nomination papers on which to receive fifty certified signatures.

Nomination at Caucus

• The Town Caucus will be held on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. in the Reed Room, at Bedford Town Hall (10 Mudge Way)
• The Caucus shall receive nominations from the floor for each office before voting on the nominations. A person must be present at the Caucus to be nominated. The two candidates for each position that receive the highest number of votes shall be declared nominated, providing that any nominee receives at least a minimum vote of eight percent of the caucus members voting.
