Elizabeth Warren Stops by Nashoba Brook Bakery in Concord

The U.S. Senate candidate campaigned in Concord Wednesday, speaking on how her supporters can take action in the last week of the campaign.

As campaign season comes to a close with the Nov. 6 election — less than a week away — Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Elizabeth Warren was on the stump at Nashoba Brook Bakery in West Concord yesterday.

Warren said the focus of her campaign will shift in the run-up to election day, making it clear to voters the choice they face between her and incumbent Republican Sen. Scott Brown.

"I think it's about whose side are you on," Warren said. "Scott Brown has some good votes but too often he votes for millionaires, billionaires and big oil companies."

If elected, Warren said she will focus her efforts on helping middle-class families, the promise at the heart of her stump speeches.

"Me, I don't want to go to Washington to work for those folks," Warren said. "I want to go to Washington to fight for working families and small businesses."

When asked if she would like to see the debate that was canceled due to Hurricane Sandy rescheduled before Nov. 6, Warren said she was hoping to get one more debate in before election day.

"Scott Brown has said no, that he's done all the debating that he plans to do," Warren said. "When the consortium said how about if we do this on Thursday, I said yes immediately, and Scott Brown said no."
