5 Things: Just Dance 4 for Teens at the Library, Mr. Belmont Tonight

Events occurring in Belmont on Wednesday, May 22.

1. Calling all High Schoolers and Chenery students: Got the moves on the dance floor? Well then, head over to the Belmont Public Library for a Just Dance 4 Tournament, the Xbox Kinect gaming tournament for teens. The fun will begin at 1:30 p.m. and last 'til 3 p.m. in the library's Assembly Room.

2. The "Mr. Belmont" Pageant 2013 is being held at 7 p.m. in the Belmont High School's Auditorium. The entire town is invited to this family-friendly event, where junior and senior young men will compete for the title of "Mr. Belmont." 

3. Belmont seniors: Interested in being interviewed about your life during the 1950s and 1960s? Belmont High School students’ American Studies Interview Project is being between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. at the Beech Street Center. Sign up for a 20 to 30 minute tape recorded interview; any time that is convenient for you.

4. It's Storytime for 1's in the Flett Room across from the Children's Room at the Belmont Public Library. This program, for walkers and toddlers under 24 months, is about sharing simple stories, songs, finger plays, nursery rhymes and puppets. The fun starts at 10:30 a.m.

5. Today marks the bicentennial of the birth of Richard Wagner, who, along with Mozart, Verdi and Puccini, make up the great composers of the opera.
