5 Things: Bye Bye Birdie at Waldorf High, Road Work on Trapelo
Events occurring in Belmont on Thursday, May 23.

1. The students of Waldorf High School, located at 160 Lexington St. are performing the Broadway and movie classic musical Bye Bye Birdie at 7:30 pm on Thursday and Friday, May 23 and 24. With such a small student population, the entire school is involved with the major and minor roles played by students from all four classes with the all-school chorus playing the chorus for the play.
Performances will be held in the auditorium of Waldorf High School of Massachusetts Bay and the public is warmly invited to attend. Suggested donation: $5.00 per person; $20.00 maximum per family.
2. Traffic advisory: Sewer and drain work on Trapelo Road acoss from Hawthorne Street will continue beginning at 7 a.m.

3. Yoga tonight in Gardiner Hall at Plymouth Congregational Church at 582 Pleasant St. at 7 p.m. (Enter on Alexander Street). Taught by professionals in the Vinyasa style. Bring your own mat. All levels welcome. $10 per class. Free parking on Pleasant, Leonard and behind Macy's. All proceeds benefit Plymouth Nursery School.
4. Infant Lapsit Storytime is for infants and pre-walkers who will enjoy songs, finger plays, and rhymes chosen especially for the Belmont Public Library's littlest readers. From 10:30 a.m. in the Flett Room across from the Children's Room.

5. Today is the "Declaration of the Báb." Believers of the Bahá'í faith see the Báb as the forerunner of their religion, as the Báb's writings introduced the concept of "He whom God shall make manifest," a Messianic figure whose coming, according to Bahá'ís, was announced in the scriptures of all of the world's great religions.
