5 Things: Belmont World Film's Festival Finale Tonight

Events occurring in Belmont, April 29

1. Belmont World Film's 12th annual international film festival, this year called "Found in Translation," comes to a close by saving the best for last with the screening of "In the House" at 7:30 p.m. at the Studio Cinema on Trapelo Road.

Directed by François Ozon (Swimming Pool, 8 Women) and starring Kristin Scott-ThomasFabrice Lucchini, and Emmanuele Seigner (married to Roman Polanski), the film tells the story of a 16-year-old boy who insinuates himself into the family of a fellow student. The boy's jaded literature teacher becomes increasingly drawn to him after his essays about the family perversely begin to blur the lines between reality and fiction. Anne Miller, Cultural Attaché of the French Consulate in Boston, will lead a discussion after the film.

Tickets to the film can be purchased in advance at www.mktix.com/bwf or at the door on Monday night beginning at 7 p.m. for $11.
