5 Things You Need to Know Today: January 29
Blood drive at All Saints, bullying among seniors under discussion, hoops at the High School.

1. Belmont Community Blood Drive, sponsored by All Saints Episcopal Church, will take place at the church located at the corner of Clark Street and Common Road from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. All donors will receive a coupon for a free pound of Dunkin' Donuts coffee! 2. Between 10 and 20 percent of seniors have experienced senior-to-senior aggression or humiliation. Senior bullying tends to take place in senior centers, assisted living facilities and nursing homes, places where seniors spend a lot of time together and are required to share resources. Learn the signs of senior bullying behavior, the causes, the impact, and what you can do to conquer it at "Senior Bullying: Creating a Fair Playing Ground" at 1:15 p.m. at the Beech Street Center.
3. After playing four of the last five games on the road, Belmont High School Girls Basketball is finally back at the Wenner Field House as the Marauders play host to Burlington High. The action takes place at 7 p.m. at Belmont High School.

4. Storytime at the Benton Library of the New Year begins at 10:30 a.m. There will be word plays, stories and activities for children ages 2 years, 9 months to 5 years. Parents or caregivers must be present for the entire session. Younger siblings may attend with their parents. The library will be open today from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
5. It's Storytime at the Belmont Public Library: Story time for 2's and 3's, songs and movement are part of the story time experience for children ages 2 and 3, will be held at the Belmont Public Library's Children's Room. The fun begins at 9:30 a.m. and then again (for you late risers) from 10:30 a.m. Storycraft for 4's, 5's, and 6's will be held at 3:15 p.m.
