Belmont Briefing: Warrant Committee's Town Meeting Review April 25
Co-sponsored by the Belmont League of Women Voters at the Beech Street Center.
There is usually nothing very "brief" about the annual Warrant Briefing taking place Thursday, April 25, at 7 p.m. at the Beech Street Center (the home of the Council on Aging) at 266 Beech St. (They tend to go on for a couple of hours.)
But the public meeting is an opportunity for residents to ask questions about the 31 Warrant articles prior to the opening of Belmont's annual Town Meeting beginning Monday, April 29.
Town officials and department heads will be present to provide information and address citizen inquires about budgets and other information.

Bill Lynch, chairman of the Warrant Committee, will preside the gathering – which began two years ago and has been a success in informing Town Meeting members on the warrant which, in turn, has been praised for reducing time spent at the meeting in explaining some of the more complicated articles – which is co-sponsored by the Belmont League of Women Voters' Education Fund.
