Belmont's Marriage Equity Ice Cream Party

The ninth annual social celebrating marriage for all.

What's better then a sunny day for an ice cream celebration?

On Friday, May 17, dozens of residents gathered at Belmont's Town Green to be a part of the state's longest continuous gala for marriage equality in Massachusetts.

The town's annual Freedom to Marry Ice Cream Social was held at the Universalist recognizing the day in 2004 when same-sex couples were first granted marriage licenses in Massachusetts after the state's Supreme Court approved same-sex marriage.
