Belmont's Week in Review: Town Meeting Concludes, High School Graduation

It took seven nights but the 2013 Belmont Town Meeting – annual and special – finally came to a conclusion on Wednesday. A long-anticipated Demolition Delay articles was pulled from the Warrant as it was deemed too confusing with amendments and numerous rewrites. What did pass was a year-long moratorium on taking down single family homes and replacing them with a multi-housing structure. 

 That night, the seniors attended the annual All-Night Party with a "Toy Story" theme. 

The Belmont High Baseball team's playoff run ended in an error-prone game against Danvers, coming on the heels of two masterful games including the one which Marauder Mike Richardson both pitched and hit his team to a win over Wayland.

With his trial beginning the same week, Belmont author Dich Lehr came to the Belmont Public Library to reveal the true 'Whitey' Bulger.
