Cushing Village's Planning Approval Pushed Back Again
Now scheduled to be OK'd during Saturday morning cartoon time.

It will be strictly bring your own cereal at the next meeting of the Belmont Planning Board.
The "tentative" meeting of the Belmont Planning Board set for today, Tuesday, July 23, that was scheduled to finally approve the large-scale development known as Cushing Village, has been pushed back once again.
And now the Planning Board will make its "final" consideration on the design and site plan review for the proposed 185,000 sq.-ft. retail, residential and parking complex situated in three buildings in the heart of Belmont's Cushing Square during Saturday-morning cartoon time.
The just released agenda provided by the Town Clerk indicates that the board will be meeting at the unusual hour of 9 a.m. on Saturday, July 27 to take up the "deliberation and final vote" on the Acton-based developer's Smith Legacy Partner project that includes 114 units of one- and two-bedroom apartments, nearly 35,000 of retail space and 224 residential and municipal parking spaces.
This marks the second time the board has delayed their vote on the project. The first postponement was due to the need for all sides and especially member of the board to review last minute changes to a rather hefty 30 page document on the issuance of a "special permit" to allow the project to break grown sometime in the next two months.
