'The Ice Cream Dream' Book Reading at Moozy's Today
Belmont author Paula Silva will be reading and signing her book from noon to 2 p.m.

What better place then one of Belmont's best ice cream shops to hear the story of "The Ice Cream Dream"?
Belmont author Paula Silva's story is about Samuel's journey through a land of ice cream in which everything around him seems real and makes him feel happy. But merely thinking of a dream is not enough; that you must see, feel and believe your dreams to be true.

"Living in a new environment, feeling scared and insecure, my (seven-year-old) son asked me to cuddle with him and make up a bedtime story. I created this story on the spot and when I finished he said, "Mommy I like that story. It makes me feel good. Can you write it down so I can read it over and over again?" Wanting to bring happiness to my son and extend the feeling to many other people, I decided to write "The Ice Cream Dream" for all to enjoy," said Silva.
Silva lives with her two children, Simrin and Sonia – along with their cats, Oreo and Ginger – and has taught in the Cambridge School District for the past 11 years, currently as an assistant teacher in a high school postgraduate program working with adolescents who have intellectual disabilities and autism.
