Since 2001, the Beverly Bootstraps Back-to-School Backpack Program has helped local students start the school year with confidence by providing brand-new backpacks filled with school supplies. Now in its 24th year, the program is expanding its reach to support more children from families who cannot afford school supplies.
In Beverly’s public schools alone, roughly 32% of K–12 students come from low-income households. That’s more than 1,440 children who may need assistance. Last year, Beverly Bootstraps provided just over 900 backpacks, but to meet the growing demand, this year’s goal has increased to 950.
Beverly Bootstraps ensures that students in its service area of Beverly, Manchester, Essex, Hamilton, and Wenham have the right supplies to learn. Join them in making a difference and ensuring every student has the resources they need to succeed in school.
