5 Things, Dec. 19: Barrel House Opens on Cabot Street

Here are five things to start your day in Beverly:

1. Barrel House American Bar, has been long awaited on Cabot Street, and we hear they opened their doors to the public last week! Check out their Facebook page for a look at the menu and more. 

2. A big congratulations to Plum Consignment, who was named one of Boston Globe magazine's "best of the new 2012.' Check out the Globe article here. 

3. Food Drive: A food drive to benefit Beverly Bootstraps Food Assistance Programs will be held tomorrow at the Cummings Center's Main Lobby. Donate any non-perishable food or toiletry item and you'll be entered into a gift basket raffle. 

4. Heated debate on gun control had folks on the North Shore talking on Patch sites yesterday. Check it out and add in your thoughts here. 

5. Weather: A slight chance of showers before 4pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 45. Northwest wind 13 to 18 mph, with gusts as high as 28 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.
