7 Weekend Arrests in Beverly

The following is an excerpt from the Beverly Police Department:

Friday, Nov. 30

  • A loud group of Endicott students were reported on Lenox Street at 12:15 a.m. Police arrested Juan Fortich, 21, on charges of disorderly conduct. 
  • A loud party was reported on Rantoul Street at 1:59 a.m.
  • Police were called to a Princeton Avenue residence at 5:06 a.m. on report of an unknown person banging on the door. 
  • Tires on a vehicle parked on Broadway were reported slashed at 7:29 a.m.
  • A suspicious vehicle was reported on Essex Street at 2:37 p.m. Police spoke to the car's owner, who said he was having car trouble, and a friend was on his way to tow it. 
  • A car crash into a tree on Essex Street was reported at 8:21 p.m.
  • Police were called to Bartlett Street at 11:06 p.m. on report of loud neighbors. When police arrived the street was quiet, but they spoke to the residents in question and advised them to quiet down. 

Saturday, Dec. 1

  • Police were called to Rantoul Street at 12:48 a.m. on report of the middle
  • At 1:45 a.m. police were called to Haskell Street on report of a vandalized vehicle. 
  • At 2:44 a.m. police arrested Drew Frenette, 20, of 165 Pine Grove St. in New Bedford, on charges of operating under the influence of liquor, and possession of an RMV document. 
  • A fight was reported on Cabot near Knowlton Street at 3:01 a.m. When police arrived they had already left. 
  • Police were called to Curtis Point at 6:39 a.m. on report of an unknown person in the yard. Police searched the yard and found fresh boot prints across the pool cover, but did not locate anyone. 
  • Police were called to Elliott Street at 6:33 p.m. on report of a man sleeping in his car. Cody Farris, 19, listed as homeless, was arrested on charges of violating a city open container ordinance, and possession of liquor. 
  • A wallet was found on Cabot Street at 7:54 p.m. There was no identification. 
  • Police escorted the Beverly High School football team through the city at 8:15 p.m.
  • At 11:26 p.m. an intoxicated female was reported fighting on the sidewalk on Herrick Street. Police arrested Alex Dunbar, 28, of 14 Evelyn Rd., on charges of possession of a class a and b substances, and Michael Cowper, 34, of 34 Grant St., on charges of possession of a class a substance. 

Sunday, Dec. 2

  • A fight was reported in the street on Rantoul and Creek Street at 1:09 a.m. Police reports stated the fight was between people who were leaving the bars. 
  • Police were called to Watch Hill Lane at 4:51 a.m. on report of someone yelling. Police saw four students outside smoking, and told them to quiet down. 
  • A flag was reported stolen on Curtis Point at 11:13 a.m.
  • A vehicle's window was smashed on Bennett Street at 11:14 a.m.
  • At 1:57 p.m. police arrested David Lugo, 31, of 34 Grant St., on warrant charges. 
  • At 8:01 p.m. police arrested David Swett, 17, of 24 Mandalay Dr., on warrant charges. 
  • Police were called to West Dane Street at 9:27 p.m. on report of 'fireworks bouncing off cars'. When police arrived, the area was quiet. 
  • Police were called to Grant Street on report of a male with a baseball bat at 9:28 p.m. Police spoke to the man, who was not holding a baseball bat, and he told police he was helping his brother move.
