'Active and Inviting Waterfront' to be Focus of Planning Meeting

The new land use rules for Beverly's waterfront will be the focus of the meeting in early November.

A second public meeting has been scheduled for early November to present an update on the effort to come up with new land use laws for the Beverly waterfront.

The Beverly Harbor Public Meeting is scheduled for Nov. 5 at 6:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers on the third floor of City Hall.

Officials from the Beverly Planning Department present a summary of the feedback from the “visioning session” in June and “stakeholder meetings” held during the summer.

The work is all part of a rezoning effort for the Beverly Harbor area along Water Street

Members of the city Planning Department will also present goals and objectives for a new zoning district for Beverly Harbor plus discuss “a framework to establish standards that will create an active and inviting waterfront.”
