Beverly Bootstraps Names New Director Amid Record Demand For Services
Andover resident Allison Caffrey most recently served as Executive Director of Root in Salem.

BEVERLY, MA — The former executive director of Root in Salem will take the reins of Beverly Bootstraps amid record demand for food security services on the North Shore.
Allison Caffrey, who led efforts to empower young adults through workforce development and food service training while at Root, brings nearly two decades of nonprofit executive experience to her new role.
"I am delighted to welcome Allison to Beverly Bootstraps," said Marilyn Schlein Kramer, President of the Board of Directors. "Allison has a deep commitment to our mission of providing resources and opportunities to families and individuals so they may achieve self-sufficiency.

Caffrey brings expertise in fundraising, program strategy and development, and cultivating donor and partner relationships.

She has successfully secured institutional support and designed programs that drive both
measurable impact and long-term sustainability.
"I'm incredibly impressed and inspired by Beverly Bootstraps' work and mission," Caffrey said. "The services and support they provide are now more important than ever, and I am honored and excited to work with the board, team, and volunteers to steward this vital community organization into its next chapter."
The lifelong Andover resident holds degrees from Dartmouth College and Harvard University, as well as a certificate in nonprofit leadership from Tufts University.
Beverly Bootstraps provides food assistance, housing stability resources, education, and other essential supports for individuals and families in Beverly, Manchester, Essex, Hamilton, and
Wenham.
