Beverly Coronavirus: Man Arrested After Hospital Outburst

BEVERLY, MA —A Boston man who went to Beverly Hospital with symptoms of the new coronavirus was charged with disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace and assault and battery with a dangerous after an outburst.

According to the Salem News, which first reported this story, Thomas Holladay, 47, became "loud and profane" when he tried to leave a segregated area of Beverly Hospital for coronavirus patients. Holladay is accused of hitting a nurse in the ribs with a piece of medical equipment as a security officer escorted him from the hospital. As Holladay was being arrested, he screamed and was "spewing spittle," telling officers he had COVID-19 symptoms and hoped they got them as well.
