Beverly Driver That Crashed Into Tree Tuesday Night Allegedly Drunk

The following is an excerpt from the Beverly Police Department:
Monday, Dec. 10
- At 2:22 a.m., police arrested James O'Rourke, 45, of 276 Rantoul St., on charges of resisting arrest and disturbing the peace.
- Police were called to Tozer Road at 9 a.m. on report of a man walking on the railroad tracks. Police searched the area but did not find him.
- A vehicle was reported broken into on Cabot Street at 5 p.m.
- Police were called to Carver Street at 5:30 p.m. on report of someone who threw a rock at a truck. Police did not find anyone in the area.
- A female was struck by a vehicle at the corner of Rantoul and Federal Street at 6:52 p.m. She was transported to the hospital.
- Police were called to Rantoul Street at 7:04 p.m., on report of a neighbor dispute. Police resolved the situation and advised the neighbors to avoid eachother as much as possible.
- Police were called to Kennell Hill Drive at 10:07 p.m. on report of driveway markers being stolen for the second time this week.
- Police were called to Cabot Street on report of a female sleeping in a vehicle at 11:13 p.m. She told police she had fallen asleep while listening to the Patriots game on the radio.

- Police were called to Beverly High at 3:03 p.m. on report of a student about to begin a fight. Police transported the student back to her residence.
- A car crashed into a stone wall on Boyles Street at 4:58 p.m.
- At 6:08 p.m. police arrested Richard Breau, 34, of 95 Sheraton St. in Lynn, on charges of operating with a revoked license and two warrant charges.
- A car fire was reported on Exit 19 off Route 128 at 6:41 p.m. Three people were injured and transported to the hospital.
- At 9:20 p.m. police were called to Elliott Street on report of a car crashed into a tree. Police arrested Eric Jalbert, 24, of 18 Echo Avenue, on charges of operating under the influence of liquor, speeding, negligent operation of a vehicle, and possessing an ounce of marijuana.
- Police were called to Cabot Street Cinema on report of people on the roof at 9:26 p.m. When police checked the roof they found three Montserrat students, who were escorted off the property. Police spoke with the campus safety officials about the situation.
Wednesday, Dec. 12
- A fight was reported at Beverly High at 8:36 a.m.
- At 2:40 p.m. police were called to Beverly High School on report of three intoxicated female students. Police said at this time no chages will be issued and the situation will be handled at the school level.
