Beverly Firefighters Hold NC Hurricane Victim Donation Drive
The Beverly Fire Department was collecting the items with firefighters volunteering to drive them to North Carolina this weekend.
BEVERLY, MA — Beverly firefighters are going the extra many, many miles to help victims of Hurricane Helene in North Carolina this week.
The Beverly Fire Department has been collecting supplies all week with members of the department volunteering to bring the collections to North Carolina this weekend to aid those caught in the destructive path of the hurricane that killed more than 230 people and left millions without power for more than a week.
Items were being collected through Friday night at fire headquarters at 15 Hale Street.

Items most sought include: tarps, boots, lanterns, lighters, blankets, facemasks, hygiene items, household cleaning supplies, diapers, squeegees, canned food, bleach, can openers, pump sprayers, Ziploc bags, charcoal, laundry detergent (no pods), box fans, sugar-free foods, kids toys, powdered milk, winter clothes, dog food, cat food, first-aid kits, socks, Band-Aids, Benadryl, socks, hats, gloves, Vaseline, hand warmer and antibiotic cream.
