Beverly Great Pumpkin Smash Returns For 2024
Residents are invited to bring hordes of gourds for composting in the "destruction zone" at a fun, family-friendly event.
BEVERLY, MA — Beverly residents are invited to bring their sagging and wearing Halloween pumpkins for a fun and family-friendly composting event on Nov. 10 with the return of the Great Pumpkin Smash.
The event will feature a "pumpkin destruction zone" with a trebuchet at the New Entry Sustainable Farming Project at 733 Cabot Street. The event is free and open to the public from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Parking is available at Birch Plains Park for walkers, and Beverly Airport for shuttle service.

Local nonprofits Green Beverly and New Entry Sustainable Farming Project are hosting the event designed to encourage residents to compost pumpkins and raise awareness of sustainability. There will also be live music, information tables from local organizations, as well as local beer and food vendors.

Pumpkins can be dropped off at collection areas at Beverly elementary schools through Wednesday as well as at the New Entry bins at Moraine Farm at 799 Cabot Street through Saturday.
