The eighth day of the 49th annual Beverly Homecoming on Friday, Aug. 8 includes the Veterans Welcome Home Social and Mayor’s Reception, both at Lynch Park. Here’s a look at the complete Homecoming schedule on Friday:

Beverly Recreation Kids Carnival; 10 a.m.–2 p.m.

All of the parks and camps staffed by the Beverly Recreation Department come to Lynch Park for a day of fun, including games, a dunk tank and prizes.

Beverly Bootstraps Tours; 1–3 p.m.

Tours of the Bootstraps facilities at 371 Cabot St.

Welcome Home Veterans Social; 4–7 p.m.

Lynch Park

A cookout for all veterans at Lynch Park, where they can enjoy a nice evening with fellow veterans. For more information call the Veterans’ Services office at 978-921-6018.

Mayor’s Homecoming Reception; 6:30–9 p.m.

Lynch Park Carriage House

A reception fundraiser for the Lynch Park Carriage House with an array of delectable edibles from Timothy Hopkins Catering, Creative Creating, Henry’s Catering, Casual Catering, Ipswich Clambake Co., Gourmet Delights Catering, Relish and North Shore Bartending.
Tickets are $25 per person. Additional sponsorship is available for Supporters at $100 which includes one ticket and recognition and Sponsors for $250, which includes two tickets and recognition. The event is sponsored by the Lynch Park Advisory Committee and Beverly Recreation Department. For tickets and information call 978-210-1331 or 978-473-0337.
