Beverly Homecoming on Thursday, Aug. 7: 5K Road Race and Senior of the Year Crowned

A look at the Beverly Homecoming schedule on Thursday, Aug. 7, including the Kids Fun Run and 5K Road Race plus Senior Day at Lynch Park.

The seventh day of the 49th annual Beverly Homecoming on Thursday, Aug. 9 includes the 5K road race and kids fun in the evening after Senior Day at Lynch Park, which will include the awarding of the Senior of the Year award.

Open to those 60 and older. Sign up in advance. Concerts by The Variations and The Honky Tonk Women of Gloucester, along with a BBQ chicken lunch. The Senior of the Year Award will be presented followed by an ice cream social with raffles and prizes. Cost:$5 for Beverly residents and $8 for non-residents.

Annual Homecoming Kids Fun Run: 5:30–6:45 p.m.

Beverly Yankee 5K Road Race; 6:30–8 p.m.

Baked Bean Contest; 6– 7 p.m.

Judging starts at 6:30 p.m. $25 for first prize with all participants receiving a prize.
