Beverly Hospital Earns Champion Award In Support Of Higher Education
North Shore Community College presented the hospital with the award for its commitment to providing career pathways for graduates.

BEVERLY, MA — Beverly Hospital was recently honored for its commitment to higher education and creating pathways for area graduates in the healthcare field with the North Shore Community College's Champion Award.
Beverly and Addison Gilbert Hospitals have in recent years expanded their opportunities as a practicum placement site for the college's students in the health professions and have served as an employer of choice for many of the school's graduates, according to the NSCC presentation.
"Supporting local students directly impacts the health and wellness of our communities," Beverly Hosptial President Tom Sands said. "We are grateful to play a role in making the North Shore healthier and stronger with the help of NSCC, and we remain committed to working with the college in furthering the lives of residents across our region."

Beverly and Addison Gilbert Hospitals have collaborated with NSCC on initiatives focused on improving the lives of local residents, especially those most marginalized.
In 2022, Beverly Hospital piloted its first ESL program for its employees through NSCC, with onsite instruction led by college faculty and a 100 percent graduation rate.

Bruce Nardella, chair of the Board of Trustees of Northeast Hospital Corporation, which includes Beverly and Addison Gilbert Hospitals, accepted the award on behalf of the hospitals at NSCC's Celebration of Champions for Higher Education on April 25.
"We could not be more proud to celebrate Beverly and Addison Gilbert Hospitals and their work in our community supporting the transformative power of higher education," said William Heineman, President of NSCC.
