Beverly To Host City's First PorchFest This Weekend
More than 25 bands are expected to perform in the Ryal Side section of the city on Saturday.

BEVERLY, MA — Music will ring out in the lawns and streets of the Ryal Side section of Beverly this weekend as part of the city's first PorchFest.
The event is set for Saturday from noon to 3 p.m. and will be held rain or shine.
"We are so excited to bring Porchfest to Beverly," Beverly Arts Committee Chair Lindsay Barth told Patch. "Beverly has such incredibly talented and creative community members, so an event like this just kinda fits. We are so grateful to the residents who offered up their porches and yards — we had a really overwhelming response, more than we ever really expected."

Barth said more than 25 bands are expected to perform in what she said she hopes will be a test run for an even bigger event as part of the Beverly 400+ celebration next year.
She said attendees are encouraged to walk or bike, as parking is limited in Ryal Side. People can park downtown and walk to Ryal Side via the pedestrian-only Hall-Whitaker Bridge.
