Beverly Police Arrest 'Irrational,' Naked Man
Beverly police said a bystander drew a gun on the man after he jumped on the hood of a woman's car and assaulted her.

BEVERLY, MA —Beverly police officers responding to a report of a man with a gun Monday morning found a naked man who was being "irrational," according to a department news release.
The naked man had jumped on the hood of a woman's car then assaulted her, police said. A bystander drew a gun on the naked man in an attempt to stop the attack, police said.
The man fled on foot before throwing himself into the windshield of one of the responding police cruisers, police said. Officers used a stun gun to arrest the man.

The man, whose name was not released, was transported to Beverly Hospital for evaluation. Police said he is facing several charges.
