Beverly Superintendent May Leave District in 2013

Marie Galinski has been with Beverly Public School's for nine years.

Superintendent Marie Galinski may be saying goodbye to Beverly Public Schools at the end of the 2013 academic year, the Salem News is reporting.

Galinski, who has been in Beverly for nine years, is one of three finalists for the same position in the Groton-Dunstable school district. 

The announcement comes just six months after she received a $6,000 raise and one-year contract extension, the Salem News reports

Galinski told the outlet if she does not get the position at Groton-Dunstable, she would stay in Beverly through the end of her contract, which ends in 2014.
