Christmas, Hanukkah Events In Beverly: Lights, Santa, More

BEVERLY, MA — There are plenty of things going on around Beverly to celebrate the 2023 winter holidays.
Hanukkah, the eight-day Jewish festival of lights, starts at sundown on Dec. 7, and ends at nightfall on Dec. 15. Christmas, of course, is on Dec. 25, but you don’t have to wait to start taking in all the sights and sounds of the season.
A menorah lighting in Beverly is set for Dec. 7 at Innocenti Park at 4 McPherson Drive at 5:30 p.m.

The Christmas tree lighting was held the day after Thanksgiving with a holiday parade. The city tree can be found at Beverly Common.

On Dec. 8 and Dec. 9, Beverly Main Streets will host a two-day downtown winter market.
Beverly Main Streets is presenting the event that will take place on Cabot Street on Dec. 8 and Rantoul Street on Dec. 9. Both events run from 4 to 8 p.m.
Residents and visitors are encouraged to shop local businesses with special deals and activities and visit pop-up artist markets. Participating businesses can be found here.
Pop-up artist markets can be found on the First Baptist Church on Cabot Street on Dec. 8 and The Castle Restaurant & Bar and Sully's Brand/Bridge Nine Records on Rantoul Street on Dec. 9.
On Friday, Mrs. Claus will make an appearance, along with the Beverly High School Jazz Combo and the Beverly High Brass/Woodwind Chamber Group.
On Saturday, The Grinch will be in attendance, along with Moonrise Fae and more.
Those wishing to pay Santa a special visit can do so daily at the Northshore Mall in Peabody.
The Beverly Police Department will be collecting toys for those in need as part of the Sean R. Connolly Memorial Toy Drive at the North Beverly Plaza at 55 Dodge Street from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Dec. 9.
