Job Posting: Care Coordinator (2–4 Hours/Week) – Alzheimer’s Care Team Support (Beverly, MA)

We are seeking a reliable, organized, and compassionate Care Coordinator to support the caregiving team for a 67-year-old woman with advanced early-onset Alzheimer’s in Beverly, MA. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, communicates well, and is comfortable managing schedules and payroll for a small team of caregivers. Must have the flexibility to make some last-minute texts or phone calls to ensure a shift is covered should a caregiver call out last minute.
This position does not involve hands-on caregiving. Instead, you will oversee administrative tasks that ensure smooth, consistent care for the client.
Hours
2–4 hours per week, flexible schedule
(Work can be done remotely with occasional check-ins as needed.)
Pay: Flat Rate $100/week
Key Responsibilities
Scheduling & Staffing
- Create and maintain weekly caregiver schedules for 6-8 PCAs/volunteer companions
- Coordinate shift coverage, fill-ins, and schedule adjustments
- Communicate schedule updates to all caregivers
- Ensure adequate coverage for day, evening, and overnight shifts
Payroll & Administrative Support
- Collect and verify caregiver weekly timesheets
- Submit or process payroll for 4-5 caregivers (system training provided)
- Track hours, rate differences, and special shift types (e.g., overnight flat rate)
- Maintain organized records of time worked, pay periods, and staffing logs
Care Team Communication
- Serve as point-of-contact for caregivers regarding schedule or administrative questions
- Relay important updates to the family and care team
- Support a positive, respectful, and consistent communication environment among caregivers
Qualifications
- Prior experience in care coordination, caregiving administration, staffing support, or similar role preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
- Comfortable working with basic payroll systems, shared calendars, and digital communication tools
- Reliable, professional, and able to maintain confidentiality
- Compassionate and comfortable assisting a team providing care for someone with advanced dementia
About the Client
The coordinator will support the care team for a woman with advanced early-onset Alzheimer’s who requires full assistance for daily activities. Caregivers handle hands-on tasks such as feeding, hydration support, transfers (sit-to-stand/Hoyer), toileting, and communication during shift changes.
The Care Coordinator does not perform these tasks but plays a key role in keeping the care environment stable, organized, and supportive.
