Endorsement for Brendan Sweeney for Mayor of Beverly

I have lived in Beverly most of my life, and there's no place I'd rather call home. I am a graduate of Beverly public schools, the proud parent of four children raised and educated in Beverly, I have dedicated countless hours volunteering for Beverly youth sports and have served two terms on the School Committee. With these experiences, I've seen our community through multiple lenses and recognize what good leadership looks like. This is why I'm confident that Brendan Sweeney is the right choice for our next Mayor of Beverly.

When I first met Brendan, I was impressed by his respectful approach and welcoming personality. What ultimately won me over was seeing his actions back up his words. His work ethic is second to none and his commitment to public service is not just an idea, it's a core part of who he is.

I’ve seen how Brendan translates his professional expertise into concrete plans for improvements. It’s one thing to talk about strategic investments in our City's infrastructure, but it's another to have a proven track record of actually doing it. What he accomplished in Boxford — earning a "AAA" bond rating and a national award for budget transparency — shows that he has the hands-on financial management experience and acumen to deliver on his promises. His collaborative nature is evidenced by his service in the Massachusetts State budget office, where he managed a $500 million federal grant program for cities and towns, and by acting as Director of Intergovernmental Affairs for the Commonwealth.

Perhaps most importantly, Brendan's devotion to Beverly is personal. He chose to start his family here, and that isn't a political talking point. It means he is personally invested in the quality of our schools, the safety of our parks, and the upkeep of our roads. His vision for Beverly's future isn’t an abstract plan; it's a long-term commitment to strive towards the community he envisions for his own family.

Brendan Sweeney has my full support for our next Mayor of Beverly. He is a great candidate because of his impactful civic achievements and genuine personal qualities. I have no doubt that he is the leader our City needs, and I urge you to join me in voting for him.
