Greater Beverly YMCA Honors Supporters, Businesses At Community Impact Celebration

BEVERLY, MA — The Greater Beverly YMCA honored some of the region's most supportive businesses and individuals at its recent Community Impact Celebration.

Those honored were determined to have made a "profound and lasting impact on the Greater Beverly community."

"It was an honor to bring this group of people together to recognize their positive impact on the Greater Beverly community," Greater Beverly YMCA Executive Director Tim Flaherty said. "Each has done so much for the community. They exhibit in their everyday work the best of the Y's mission and areas of focus — healthy living, youth development and social responsibility.

Kevin Roy, Greater Beverly board president, presented honorees Mike Stare, Dave Knight and Justin Pezick of Orthopaedics Plus & Spectrum Fitness with the Healthy Living Award for their commitment to offering a higher standard of health care, while helping patients achieve their
true potential. Justin Pezick was at the event to accept the award.

Sue Charochak, retired Superintendent for the Beverly Public Schools, presented Todd Rotondo with the Community Impact Award as a "proven leader and trusted voice in the Beverly community."

Now serving his third term as Ward 1 City Councilor, Rotondo was feted as "a strong advocate for Beverly — securing funding for parks, trails, youth programs, and infrastructure" who works closely with state officials to advance local projects.

Mayor Mike Cahill introduced and presented Dean Berg, Executive Director at Green Beverly, with the Social Responsibility Award for his commitment to help ALL Beverly residents and businesses lead a
more sustainable life through actionable information, inspiration, and education.

Patrick Sullivan, Beverly Y board member, presented Chris Fall from Hamilton/Wenham Little League with the Youth Development Award for his leadership and support for kids in the community.

"He exemplifies the Y's core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility," The Greater Beverly YMCA said. "Through his work with local youth baseball and soccer programs, Chris has made a lasting impact — fostering teamwork, confidence, and positive values in countless kids. \

"A passionate advocate for youth sports, Chris leads by example."

Fall recently ran in the Boston Marathon, proudly dedicating his race to raise awareness and support for his Little League team.

Mike Wheeler, CEO North Shore Bank said: "We are for all, particularly at the Beverly Y. We as a
community need to continue to support these types of organizations. We want everyone to be better and have a better tomorrow."

A special Community Philanthropy Awardwas presented to longtime Beverly residents Joe and Mary Carlucci for their unwavering support and commitment to the Y's mission. The Carluccis recently made a transformational gift that will give children access to summer camp and swim lessons throughout the year.

"Joe and Mary have helped remove financial barriers so that everyone in the community can participate in Y programs — regardless of their ability to pay," organizers said.

Nicole DiNato, a parent in the Y After School program, added: "We can rely on the Y in a very unpredictable situation. The Y sees us as more than just a client, they see us as part of their family and we see them as a part of our family."
