BEVERLY —The following are highlights from the Beverly Police Department Logs from Aug. 18-20.

Friday, Aug. 18

  • One woman was arrested during a hit and run on Cabot Street.
  • A woman was found passed out in a car on Sohier road and Exit 19 off Route 128. She was transported to a hospital by ambulance.
  • Officers were called to 340 Elliott Street when a man punched his wife in the leg. Officers cleated the scene.

  • Officers responded to a scene after a man called the police because his girlfriend was yelling at the ceiling. The woman has episodes from struggling with mental health because she lacks proper mental health services. No one wanted medical attention.
  • A man reported suspicious activity after another white male threatened to injure him.
  • Officers responded to a report of an unwanted guest at 55 Dodge Street. The unwanted guest left prior to their arrival.
  • A patron was arrested in a restaurant at 214 Cabot Street after being refused further service. The patron was being disorderly and making threats.
  • A hit-and-run happened at Halle and East Corning Streets.

Sunday, Aug 20

  • Karaokers were disbursed at a party taking place on the street outside of 25 Bennett Street.
  • Guns shots were reported on Cabot Street and Douglas Avenue. Officers responded, but nothing was found.
  • A male was transported to the hospital in an ambulance after police responded to a potential overdose on Cherry Hill Drive.
  • An officer transported a prisoner to shelter in dire need of a shower and change of clothes. A female officer escorted the female prisoner to the River House for a shower and change of clothes from the Beverly, ER. The woman was transported back to the station.
