Hundreds to Go All Morning Without Power

Residents of Prospect Hill can expect to go at least 12 hours without power on Friday.

Nearly 300 homes without power in the Prospect Hill neighborhood can expect to wait until Friday afternoon for electricity to be restored.

On Friday morning, National Grid said it estimated electricity will be back on by 12:45 p.m. on the Fourth of July.

Much of the affected area is between Cabot Street and Essex Street.

Power went out at about 11:30 p.m. on Thursday when a strong thunderstorm moved through the area with heavy rain, vivid lightening and gusty winds.
