Library Returning to Normal Hours After Two Day Closure

The Beverly Public Library plans to return to regular hours for the weekend after it was closed for two days.

The Beverly Public Library was closed all day Wednesday and Thursday, July 30 and 31 for construction.

Library officials say the library is planned to return to normal hours on Friday, Saturday and Monday. Regular hours on Friday and Saturday are 9 a.m.-5 p.m. The library is open 9 a.m.-9 p.m. on Monday and closed on Sunday.

Because of the closure on Thursday, a shuttle was provided from the closed main branch on Essex Street to the Beverly Farms branch library on Vine Street, which was also open extended hours from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.

The closure also cancelled the 1980s movie showing on Thursday night.

The $2.6 million construction project started this spring and is planned to make repairs and renovations to several areas of the main library.
