Longtime Beverly Resident Runs For At Large City Council Seat
A longtime Beverly resident is throwing his hat in the ring for the empty At Large Council seat.

BEVERLY, MA – Brian DApice, long time Beverly resident and well-known member of the business community, today announced his candidacy for City Council At-Large in this coming election.
Brian DApice is seeking the At-Large seat being vacated by City Councilman Jason Silva in his first citywide race. DApice is the Principal of The Mega Group, a commercial real estate firm with offices in Beverly and Danvers, who specialize in retail and investment advisory services.
If elected he said in a statement that he will focus on issues surrounding economic development, the environment and quality of life in the community.

"The City of Beverly has been moving forward in a very positive but fast direction over the past few years, my resources and experience in the areas of growth, and economic planning will not only benefit the existing members of the City Council, but also the people of Beverly," said DApice. "A challenging issue for the city has been development, I recognize the need for new housing options for all income levels and will take into consideration both the positive and negative impacts that growth has not only in the community, but the environment and our supply of natural resources."
Brian DApice is a very active member in the community, he is a board of directors member of the Beverly Children’s Learning Center (BCLC) and a board of directors member of the Beverly Rotary Club. "I was first approached about the idea of running for City Council about three years ago and decided it wasn’t the right time to serve the city, but am honored and humbled by the overwhelming amount of support I have received prior to making this official announcement," said DApice.

Brian DApice, 46, is married to his wife Jennifer and live with their two young boys Christopher, age 6 and Nicholas (Nicky), age 4. The city council has three At-Large seats, two incumbent members of the council intend to seek re-election, leaving the community with an open third seat. "I believe I am the right choice for that seat, I will be asking the people of Beverly for one of their three At-Large votes."
