Obituary: Marilyn J. (Stanley) Bolton, 76, BHS Grad was Married 56 Years

Marilyn J. (Stanley) Bolton, 76, was a longtime member of the Second Congregational Church in North Beverly.

Marilyn J. (Stanley) Bolton, born on Jan. 16, 1938, beloved wife of Robert W. Bolton, passed on Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2014 at the Exeter Hospital in New Hampshire surrounded by her loving family.

Born and raised in Beverly, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Dorothy (Briggs) Stanley. She graduated from Beverly High School, class of 1956, and attended the Beverly Hospital School of Radiology.

Mrs. Bolton had been employed for over 15 years as an x-ray technician at the Beverly Hospital until the time of her retirement.

A longtime resident of Beverly, prior to moving to Fremont, N.H., Marilyn was a former member of the Second Congregational Church in Beverly. She enjoyed crafts including crocheting and knitting. Her greatest joy and happiness was spending time with her grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her husband, with whom she shared 56 years of marriage, she is survived by three sons: Robert Bolton Jr. and his wife, Elaine, of Barrington, N.H.; Jay Bolton and his wife, Jennifer, of Pembroke Pines, Fla. and Christopher Bolton and his wife, Robin, of Fremont, N.H.; five grandchildren: Danielle Cote, Matthew Bolton, Danica Bolton, James Bolton and Jilyssa Bolton; a great grandson, Miles Cote; a sister, Gail Knott of Beverly; a brother, Wayne Stanley and his wife, Melanie, of Woodstock, Va. and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot St., Beverly, Monday, Dec. 1, 2014 at 2 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held prior to the service on Monday from noon to 2 p.m. Burial in the North Beverly Cemetery.
