One in Four Young People Smoke Pot Monthly in Mass.
Rhode Island and Vermont residents smoke more marijuana than Bay Staters.

Just about 10 percent of teenagers and adults in Massachusetts smoke marijuana monthly, according to data recently compiled by the Washington Post.
The greatest number of pot smokers are between age 18-25, with about one in four of the state’s residents in that age group smoking marijuana monthly. The percentage dives to 6.3 percent for age 25 and older.
Marijuana usage in Massachusetts is about a percentage point higher than two of its New England neighbors - Connecticut and Maine. Rhode Island has the highest rate of marijuana use in New England - 13 percent of residents smoke it monthly. Vermont is close behind at 12.86 percent, according to the Post report. Massachusetts is the third highest in New England.
