Perfect Paws Presents Beverly Fire Dept with Life-saving Pet Oxygen Mask Kit to Help Save More Pets
The donation comes from Dog B.O.N.E.S. Therapy Dogs of MA through a new awareness-raising initiative by the Perfect Paws Ministry in Danvers

BEVERLY, MA – The Perfect Paws Pet Ministry, a mission outreach of All Saints Episcopal Church of the North Shore, is expanding its life-saving Pet O₂ Mask kit initiative across the region. After equipping the Danvers Fire Department with two kits, Perfect Paws recently delivered an additional kit to the Beverly Fire Department Headquarters, with two more pending for the city's two other stations, as the ministry continues to raise funding. Perfect Paws members have also extended their efforts beyond Massachusetts, gifting kits to departments as far away as the Adirondacks.
Each Pet O₂ Mask kit—valued at $125 and sourced through the Massachusetts Veterinary Medical Association (MVMA) Charities—is designed to deliver emergency oxygen to pets suffering from smoke inhalation or trauma during house fires and other emergencies. The kits include masks in multiple sizes to accommodate a range of household animals.
This latest donation was made possible through the generous support of Dog B.O.N.E.S. Therapy Dogs of Massachusetts, a volunteer organization based in Scituate that certifies and deploys therapy dog teams—including through workshops and outreach from All Saints—to bring comfort and connection to people in need. Dog B.O.N.E.S.' commitment to animal welfare beautifully aligns with Perfect Paws’ mission to protect and honor beloved companion animals in times of crisis.

“These pet oxygen masks are an essential addition to the firefighting toolbox,” said Fran Weil, Pet Chaplain and founder of Perfect Paws. “Our local heroes risk their lives to save ours—and our precious pets. These kits help ensure that all members of the household have a fighting chance.”
Jeanne Brouillette, founder and president of Dog B.O.N.E.S., added: “At Dog B.O.N.E.S., we believe in doing good wherever we can—especially for the pets who bring comfort, joy, and healing to so many. Supporting this initiative was a natural extension of our mission.”

With nearly 30,000 fire incidents reported in Massachusetts last year—many of which occurred in residential homes—the need for pet-specific emergency equipment is urgent. “Pets are family,” said Weil. “When disaster strikes, they deserve the chance for survival.”
According to the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), the United States Fire Administration (USFA), and the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), some 500,000 pets are affected by house fires in the U.S. each year. Forty thousand pets die annually—primarily from smoke inhalation. Pet O₂ Masks help firefighters save pets during these emergencies.
Perfect Paws is actively raising awareness and funds to help equip every local fire department with Pet O₂ Mask kits. You can support this vital effort—whether through donations, outreach, or gifting a kit to your own fire department. For more information, please contact: perfectpawsministry@gmail.com
