Residents at Pleasant Street Apartments in Beverly were recently provided with several opportunities to create or enhance their artistic talents thanks to Housing and Urban Development Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing (HUD-VASH) Enhanced Services Certified Art Therapist Nadene Stillings. In conjunction with Bedford Green Apartments, residents held a first annual Creative Arts Festival, which showcased almost 100 pieces of artwork on display! Beverly Historical Society representatives and Todd Rotondo, owner of Salerno's in Beverly and Ward 1 City Councilor, were also on hand to support the event, and lunch was funded by a former resident's anonymous family who donated gift cards toward programming at the site. One of the favorite parts of the event was seeing and hearing residents and community partners learn about and express their admiration and excitement for each other's talents!
