Rash of Car Break-Ins Reported This Week

The following is an excerpt from the Beverly Police Department:
Monday, Dec. 17
- A vehicle was reported vandalized with graffiti on Victor Avenue at 7 a.m.
- A vehicle was reported broken into on Colon Street at 2:29 p.m.
- A vehicle was reported broken into on Essex Street at 5:44 p.m.
- A man sleeping in his truck was reported at 7:59 p.m. on Rowell Avenue. When police arrived he was gone.
- Police were called to Pond Street at 11:30 p.m. on report of suspicious men on a roof. Police spoke to the men, who were vent cleaners working.

- A vehicle was reported broken into on Iverson Road at 7:09 a.m. Police reports stated the car's window was smashed and a iPod nano was stolen.
- A vehicle was reported broken into on Middlebury Lane at 7:12 a.m.
- A car's window was smashed on Victor Avenue at 8:34 a.m.
- An assault on a school bus was reported at 9:20 a.m.
- A vehicle's side window was reported smashed on Lothrop Street at 10:06 a.m.
- At 10:47 a.m. police arrested Peter Cantin, 54, of Conway, NH, on warrant charges.
- A vehicle was reported broken into on Grover Street at 11:55 a.m.
- A vehicle was reported broken into on Whitman Place at 12:52 p.m. Police reports state the car's side window was smashed and an iPod was stolen.
- At 3:52 p.m.a house break-in on Williams Street was reported. Police said the resident arrived home to find the house had been broken into.
- A vehicle was reported broken into on Grover Street at 4:12 p.m.
- At 5:55 p.m. police were called to Endicott Street on report of 'suspicious activity.' Police said the woman at the apartment was intoxicated and refused to give the names of the houseguests who allegedly 'trashed her apartment,' and threw a plate of food on her kitchen floor.
