Restaurant Chain Raised $3,500 for World Food Day
Serenitee Restaurant Group donated a portion of all sales on Oct. 16.
BEVERLY, MA – Hale Street Tavern, 15 Walnut, and other Serenitee Restaurants raised more than $3,500 on Oct. 16 in honor of World Food Day.
World Food Day, Oct. 16, is a day of action against hunger. Roughly 14 percent of American households are food insecure at some point during the year.
Serenitee Restaurant Group also held canned food drives at Maggie's Farm and 15 Walnut.
