Snow Extends Beverly Public Schools' Year Deeper Into June
Beverly Public Schools will add another day of school to the end of June beyond make-up days from November's teachers' strike.

BEVERLY, MA — While the first snow day of the school year is usually met with cheer from students excited about a day off, that may not be the case in Beverly on Thursday with the students and teachers already making up 12 days from the November teachers' strike between now and the end of the school year.
Beverly Schools will be closed on Thursday with up to 4 inches of snow expected with officials saying the make-up day will be added to the end of June.
"Due to the forecasted snow and the timing of the storm for the North Shore area, there will be no school on Thursday," school officials said early Wednesday night.
