Sunoco, Penny Lane Home Broken Into Over Weekend

The following is an excerpt from the Beverly Police Department:

Tuesday, Dec. 25

  • At 3:49 p.m. police were called to West Street on report of a woman sleeping in her vehicle. Police spoke to her and determined she was fine.
  • At 8:41 p.m. fireworks were reported on Essex Street. 
  • A chimney fire was reported on Hull Street at 9:53 p.m.
  • A fight was reported outside a bar on Cabot Street at 11:10 p.m. The group was sent on their way before police arrived.

Wednesday, Dec. 26

  • At 2 a.m. police were called to Charnock Street on report of a female 'crying for help.' Police searched the apartment in question, but did not locate a female.
  • Police were called to Davis Street at 2:51 a.m. on report of people yelling in the street. The two in question were talking loudly in their car, and police advised them to quiet down.
  • At 11:22 a.m. police arrested Stephen Boris, 39, of 259 Washington St. in Salem, on charges of assault and battery. 
  • Police were called to a path off County Way and Cleveland Road at 12:03 p.m. to check the well being of a man dressed in all orange slumped over a rock. Police searched the area but did not locate him.
  • Tires were reported slashed on a vehicle parked on Woodbury Street at 4:23 p.m.
  • A client reportedly assaulted staff members at a Broadway residence at 5:02 p.m. 
  • At 5:07 p.m. police arrested Karyn Hidden, 49, of 9 Birch Rd. in Wenham, on charges of disorderly conduct and receiving stolen property. 

Thursday, Dec. 27

  • At 2:30 a.m. police were called to Cabot Street on report of someone knocking on a residence's window. No one was found around the building.
  • At 4:50 a.m. police were called to Bridge Street on report of someone banging on the porch door. Police did not find anyone.
  • At 6:08 a.m. police were called to a different Bridge Street residence on report of someone possibly trying to break in. Police did not locate anyone in the area.
  • A house break was reported on Lothrop Street at 10:11 a.m.

Friday, Dec. 28

  • An unruly customer was reported at a FYE at 12:24 p.m. The individual was escorted out by police and advised not to return. 
  • A neigbor dispute was reported on Sohier Road at 1:25 p.m., where name-calling was alleged by both people involved. Police advised them to avoid contact with one another if they could not be civil. 
  • A homeowner on Hale Street told police she believed someone was in her home at 1:49 p.m. Police reports stated when the woman returned to her house, she heard a loud noise when she entered. Police searched the residence but all appeared in order.
  • Tires were slashed on Rantoul Street at 2:20 p.m.
  • At 6:08 p.m. police arrested Robert Dipalma, 32, of 23 Fayette St., on charges of assault and battery and threatening to commit a crime.
  • Police were called to Courtney Drive at 8:19 p.m. on report of suspicious kids in their backyard. Police spoke to the group of males, who were neighborhood kids, and cleared the scene.
  • At 10:13 p.m. police arrested Anthony Fessenden, 18, of 139 Park St., on warrant charges.
  • At 10:44 p.m. police arrested Tina Amore, 41, of 5 Bresnahan Ct., on charges of disorderly conduct.

Saturday, Dec. 29

  • Police were called to Sohier Road at 12:15 a.m. on report of a man laying on the sidewalk. Police searched the area but did not locate him.
  • A domestic dispute was reported on Roundy Street at 8:32 a.m. Police arrested Raymond Mello, 44, of 41 Roundy St., on charges of assault and battery.
  • At 2:19 p.m. police were called to Lyman Street on report of neighbors fighting. Police arrested Eman Zeidan, 40, of 35 Lyman St., on two counts of assault and battery.
  • A snowplow was reported stolen on Beacon Street at 3:01 p.m.
  • Police were called to Arlington Street at 4:43 p.m. because someone believed his/her vehicle's locks had been glued. Police determined the locks were just iced up, and no glue was present.
  • A home on Penny Lane was reported broken into at 7:38 p.m. Police said the home was broken into through a rear sliding door, which was smashed, and rooms were found 'ransacked'. 
  • A vehicle's tires were reported smashed on Front Street at 7:40 p.m.
  • At 11:42 p.m. police responded to Sunoco on Essex Street on report of the front door being smashed. Police reports stated $100 was missing from the cash register. The situation remains under investigation.
