Trailer Carrying Excavator Hits Beverly Bridge, Closes Road
With the bridge and pedestrian walkway damaged, part of Pleasant Street will be closed "for the foreseeable future."

BEVERLY, MA – A trailer carrying an excavator struck and damaged the train bridge/pedestrian walkway over Pleasant Street on Monday.
Due to the damage to the bridge, police say Pleasant Street between Park and River streets will be closed "for the foreseeable future." Beverly Police spokesman, Officer Mike Boccuzzi, said barriers have been put around that section of the road to keep drivers and pedestrians away.
