Twins From Beverly Ordered Held Without Bail
Andrew Walker and Anthony Walker, 26, are accused of attacking police officers who were called to their Beverly by their mother.
BEVERLY, MA — Twin brothers from Beverly who are accused of attacking two Beverly police officers in June were ordered held without bail Tuesday. Andrew Walker and Anthony Walker, 26, were charged with assault and battery on a police officer, suffocation or strangulation and assault and battery after their mother called police to their Beverly home in June.
According to the Salem News, which first reported this story, Salem Superior Court Judge David Deakin ruled the brothers pose an ongoing threat to the public and police officers. The mother of the men called 911 around 11 p.m. on June 24 when they started fighting. When officers Edward Hathon and Erik Abrahamson entered the apartment, the two men charged at them. Hathon and Abrahamson were treated for injuries at Beverly Hospital.
