Veterans Day 2019: What's Open, Closed In Marblehead

Here's what's open and closed on Veterans Day, which is being observed this year on Monday, Nov. 11.

MARBLEHAD, MA — Veterans Day will be observed on Monday, Nov. 11. The national holiday was established in 1926 to honor men and women who have served in the military. U.S. Rep. Seth Moulton (D-MA) will be holding his annual Veterans Day Town Hall at Peabody City Hall at 24 Lowell Street in Peabody at 6 p.m. "One of the most important things I’ve done as a member of Congress is convene our community to discuss veterans, their stories, and the policies that impact the community," Moulton said.

Marblehead will conduct Veterans Day exercises at the Old Town Hall at 1 Market Square at 10 a.m. on Monday. Doors open at 9 a.m. and the legion room will be open to the public until noon. There will be a free shuttle bus running from the parking lot of the Marblehead National Grand Bank at 91 Pleasant Street to the Old Town House from 9 to 9:45 a.m.

Trash and recycling collection is delayed by one day. Here's a quick round-up of what else is open and closed Monday. If you know of more businesses that are open or closed, help out your fellow neighbors by leaving the information in the comments.
