Kidnapping Victim Located Near Beverly-Wenham Line
The female victim of a reported armed kidnapping on Friday night in Wenham had been located.

The victim of a reported armed kidnapping in Wenham - near the Beverly line - on Friday night was located as police continued searching for the suspect early on Saturday morning.
Police from Beverly, Wenham and State Police were searching for the male suspect the area off Topsfield Road (Route 97) in Wenham, including the Lord’s Hill neighborhood in Wenham and Beverly Airport, as of midnight.
A State Police helicopter was hovering overhead as a State Police dog tracked him to the west of Route 97.

The kidnapping occurred at about 10 p.m. on Friday at a home on Topsfield Road (which continues as Cabot Street in Beverly), where a man allegedly took a 21-year-old woman at knife-point. Police in the area were asked to be on the lookout for the 23-year-old suspect. The suspect and the victim, a young woman, know each other and were reportedly boyfriend-girlfriend.
The Boston Globe, as well as several people on Twitter, reported she had been located. Mary Saladna of WCVB-TV reported that the victim’s mother was injured in the kidnapping.
